Get Involved!
Want to help the Women's Debate Institute? Here are some ideas.1. Sponsor a debater! We keep our costs as low as possible so any woman who wants to attend the WDI has the opportunity to do so. Donate $250 and sponsor the attendance of one debater at the WDI. We will create a full (or partial) tuition scholarship in your name - or in memory of a loved debater.
2. Donate. Your general donation will pay for conference center expenses, travel for our debate Scholars, and supplies such as evidence and handbooks. Even small amounts help us!
3. Goods and services. Are you a debate team, coach, or supporter looking for other ways to help the WDI? We can always use donations of the following:
* Gas cards - we transport debaters from the Seattle airport to camp in Fort Worden.
* Stamps and other office supplies
* Grocery gift cards - every year we have a beach bbq at camp!
* Gift cards for Kinkos or other Office Stores - we provide hundreds of pages of evidence, and copy cards are greatly appreciated.
* Frequent flier miles or other airline vouchers - Scholars, keynote speakers, and staff all travel from across the US to attend WDI.
* Evidence - we write and provide unique arguments to our students. We are particularly proud of the WDI Feminism file we produce every year. Do you love to cut cards? We'll take them!
