Reflecting & Planning
REFLECTING:
The state of Michigan was home to our 2025 Women’s Debate Institute summer debate camp. The campgrounds provided the perfect backdrop for a week of learning, growth, and community building. Surrounded by nature, students and staff came together to engage in meaningful discussions and shared experiences.
Our instructors prepared an excellent selection of lectures and curriculum for this year’s camp. Not only did we focus on delivering relevant and engaging academic content, but we also included activities designed to enrich students’ minds in other ways. For example, we added an accessible yoga session to the schedule to help participants refresh and reset before or after tackling the day’s tasks.

S’mores & Karaoke!
One of our favorite ways to wrap up our debate camp is with a good old-fashioned dance party! The s’mores we made, gave students and staff just the energy they needed to karaoke the night away.

Photo Day!
One of our favorite days is Photo Day! Not only did we enjoy spending time in the sun and bonding with one another, but a few of our students also had the chance to explore one of their hobbies—photography! Some student volunteers helped our camp photographer capture portraits of fellow students and staff.
