The Women’s Debate Institute is thrilled to invite you to an exclusive virtual screening of the new documentary GIRL TALK and follow-up conversation with the filmmaker. Set in the cutthroat, boy-dominated world of high school debate, GIRL TALK tells the timely story of five girls on a diverse, top-ranked Massachusetts high school debate team. They are often talked over, under-represented and judged differently than their male counterparts, but each girl faces these challenges and shows us the value of speaking up and finding your true voice.
GIRL TALK will be available for viewing at your leisure between Thursday, May 26 and Saturday, June 4th. Please also join us for a 1-hour follow-up discussion with panelists from WDI and the film on June 4th at 4pm PDT / 7pm EDT.
Tickets are $10 with an optional donation. All proceeds will be split between the WDI and the GIRL TALK educational and social impact campaign, aimed at bringing this film into communities and classrooms around the country. If you would like a student waiver or scholarship ticket, please email firstname.lastname@example.org or email@example.com
Space is limited to 100, so get your tickets now! We look forward to sharing this inspiring story with you and having a robust discussion on June 4th.
